A. Many of the lower quality consumer grade GPS devices are cheap and do not provide quality satellite signal reception. While the lower quality GPS device may work sometimes, we STRONGLY recommend that you use the Mobile PC Manager approved External GPS Antenna. A. Yes, ScreenSafe has a built in port splitter that allows standard NMEA protocol signals to be shared by your ScreenSafe program and other mapping or location programs.
A. No, Garmin uses a proprietary GPS Protocol. Garmin does not support the International NMEA Standard GPS protocol.
A. The ScreenSafe GPS Antenna is a receive only antenna similar to the antenna on your car radio and DOES NOT emit any radio waves.
