Q 1. ScreenSafe does not recognize my External GPS, why?

A. Many of the lower quality consumer grade GPS devices are cheap and do not provide quality satellite signal reception. While the lower quality GPS device may work sometimes, we STRONGLY recommend that you use the Mobile PC Manager approved External GPS Antenna. Contact Sales@MobilePCManager.com to purchase an approved, high quality, GPS antenna.

Q 2. I have lost or damaged my ScreenSafe External GPS Antenna, how to I purchase a replacement?

A. Contact Sales@MobilePCManager.com for a special low price replacement unit.

Q 3. The Mouse Pointer on my computer jumps around randomly when I connect my External GPS antenna, why?

A. Your GPS Antenna is a lower quality unit, we STRONGLY recommend you use the Mobile PC Manager GPS Antenna. Contact Sales@MobilePCManager.com to purchase an approved, high quality, GPS antenna.

Q 4. Will the ScreenSafe External GPS Antenna work with my Mapping Software.

A. Yes, ScreenSafe has a built in port splitter that allows standard NMEA protocol signals to be shared by your ScreenSafe program and other mapping or location programs.

Q 5. Can I use a Garmin GPS Antenna?

A. No, Garmin uses a proprietary GPS Protocol. Garmin does not support the International NMEA Standard GPS protocol.

Q 6. Does the GPS Antenna emit any harmful signals or radio waves?

A. The ScreenSafe GPS Antenna is a receive only antenna similar to the antenna on your car radio and DOES NOT emit any radio waves.
